Hi folks the lock-down is over in Cambodia and the people are hungry, I’m not a fancy talker so I can’t tell you the ins and outs of the nation but I do know the need is great. Also can you imagine how hard it would be to be locked up in a tiny little room with nothing I can’t so my thought is as well as giving out food we are going to make fifty of the most beautiful cupcakes and give them out just to brighten their days and light up their eyes. Please help everybody.
Food for 50 families:
50 box of eggs 1.10 = 55$
50x10kg Rice 10 50kg bags 25.75 = 257.5$
Oil 50×3.5= 175$
Cupcake = $35

Alabaster Training
WOULD YOU CONSIDER SPONSORING A GIRL OR BOY FROM THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT OF PHNOM PENH
Open Arms needs six sponsors for their beauty school training so they can offer six girls or boys the training, 150USD per month per girl will cover the costs of transport, lunch and training.

Introduction
It is intended that this contract will clearly detail what Open Arms expects from its trainees, and in turn describes what the trainees can expect to obtain from Open Arms.
Duration of the course.
The course will be done in twelve months, to ensure the best quality of training only six girl accepted each for month training period.
Open Arms will offer the following training.
Cost
The cost of the training will be $150 us dollar per month which will,cover transport , lunch and training.
Open Arms will supplies all the products and equipment needed for the first six months after this six months, it will be reviewed.
Uniforms
Students will be required to wear a uniform at all times
Uniform shirts are available from Open Arms you will need two t-shirts Students are require to wear long black pants, please no jeans
For safety reasons closed in shoes need to be worn.

Open Arms Commitment to the Students.
We will provide a safe, caring Christian environment.
We will only use qualified teachers.
Our trainers will use high quality equipment and products.
We will supply some but not all equipment for training.
We will ensure enough time to train to the highest standard possible.
We will listen to all students complaints and judge fairly.
We will provide a certificate from open Arms and the Cambodian Government on completion. Open arms will provide a graduation party.
Every effort will be made to support each student reach the expected goals and outcomes of the course, however if a student does not meet the standards or cannot show acceptable behavior to his or her level of capability they will be asked to leave.
Student’s commitment to open Arms
I will respect the teachers and Open Arms’ property.
I will treat the other students with respect and kindness.
I will attend all classes unless I am sick or have a valid excuse. I will not show prejudice to any other girl, boy or staff member.
I will not gossip about the other girl, boy or staff member.
I will be willing to assist in the cleaning of the salon.
March 2021 update
Hi folks,
Due to circumstances behind our control Open Arms Salon is on the move again, the Salon will be closed from Monday 22nd February reopening Monday 1st March.
The good news is that we are moving to street 155 Toul Tom Poung right next door to where we used to have the cafe so it’s very easy for you all to find.
As well as being a Beauty Salon the building will be used to train young people from the Red Light District, one of Open Arms strengths is training and the girls have missed it so they are excited to start again.
In these very difficult times Grahame and I and the team would like to thank you for your continued support, love and care.
When you support Open Arms you support the work of Alabaster House situated in the Red Light District and the Children and Women they care for as all profits go to the center.

Reopening:
Open Arms Salon / Training Center is ready for the reopening tomorrow morning.
The photos of the room towards the end are the training room let’s pray and believe that we have to make another room available because we don’t have enough room for the young ones from red light district that want to be trained.
Believe with us that every person trained or just visiting will be touched by the unfathomable love of our Heavenly Father.

New Year Eve
Hi Folks,
We hope that you had a blessed Christmas and we hope and pray that 2021 will be a year of comfort, love and joy and that it will hold many blessings for you and your family.
We all know that 2020 held many challenges for us all but Pop and I our family and Open Arms family have so much to be grateful for. We are so grateful that we serve a very faithful God who is always loving and giving and who knows the beginning from the end.
We are grateful for our family here in Australia and it has been a real joy this year as we reconnected with them and we are grateful for the joy of loving and doing life together through the good days and the bad days.
We are grateful for our Cambodian family for the love, care and generosity that they show pop everyday we are so very grateful that they are in our lives.
We are grateful for our church family and being able to walk the journey with them all and grateful that we trust we God more than ever as we saw our beautiful young pastor go home to glory. And we are grateful to have you all in our lives thank you for your love prayers and support through the year it’s often said but true we just couldn’t have done it without you all.
In 2020 we saw Open Arms team grow so beautifully in God, ministry and themselves, they moved house, survived four floods and had to let a family member go and they did it all with love, grace and joy.
We saw them love and care for the Alabaster family like seasoned missionaries they actually didn’t miss a beat they loved, served and cared for beautifully well done team. We saw the Salon team rise up and be willing to stand with the team and build a business even though they felt terrified at times as they felt ill equipped but they a marvelous job they grew in their skill overnight well done girls.
So everybody again we thank you for your love and friendship and we pray blessings over you and your families for 2021.
