Open Arms

Open Arms Salon has had a lovely day , we agreed to let another organization to use the Salon to host a training program for their girls and what a wonderful team of young people they were, the  young  man who trained the girls has won

the Australian hairdresser of the year award for the last three years and what valuable training he gave .

The plans for our graduation ceremony have started we are looking at May 26th.  Nineteen girls will graduate. So it’s Avery busy time but we have an amazing team.

Well the day is over and the Cafe girls are using us as guinea pigs to try their new vegetarian quiche so I am off for dinner tough life but someone’s gotta do it.

Alabaster

Another great day at Alabaster poor pop he had to deal with a plague of cockroaches he found behind a cupboard , shudder shudder shudder, it’s all cleaned up now . Talked to two single mums  gosh so hard over here there is no financial help and we have made it a policy no money given but here are ways to help we will give them skills .

Now I am so sorry to make you ladies that love to decorate homes jealous buuuut while poor old pop was dealing with the cockies I was shopping for furniture ( yes a do feel a bit guilty but someone has to do it). I got a two sweater lounge and to single seats, a coffee table and four meter sizes floor cushions all top quality fabric and new style classy cane for $ 520.00 , they are gorgeous the cushions are blue.

I just can’t wait to tell these people that Jesus loves them soooo much that He has created a beautiful place for their to come to in their community, folks I have seen this before what will happen Is the whole  area will start to clean and spruce up , when we first came to Cambodia in 2002 we started to clean up outside our home with the 26 kids( very cute) and before long we were helping the neighbors do the same thing  what an honor to be able to do this .

Alabaster

A great day at Alabaster, the painting is all finished and the shampoo basins are hooked up. Grahame is sprucing up all the existing bathrooms with new basins , taps, and accessories. Tomorrow the blind  man comes to measure up and we girls will be washing walls and floors.

We had a wonderful time one of the painters was saying he cant give up smoking so we told him our story of smoking and alcohol before we became Christians, it was so beautiful we prayed with Him about that and his little. Face was so accepting, pop also asked him to the sausage sizzle we plan to have for the men when we open so another relationship starting .

The not so exciting news s that we found a rat as big as a cat dead upstairs ( glad it was dead) I am still shuddering as I think about it oh well there will be more.

Thank you for your continued love prayer and support.
