Blessing sfor 2013

With 2013 just around the corner I reflect on the past year the highs the lows and I couldn’t have and wouldn’t have wanted to have done it without you all.

Dear friends when people say to me what is your vision for 2013 I can only say I want to be kinder more considerate not so bossy and reactionary and appreciate the people in my life more I want to learn learn learn about life and joy and living it to the fullest (whatever that means)

As far as Open arms is concerned you can’t fix whats not broken.

I hope you are all totally wonderfully blessed in 2013 and I do hope that your dreams are fulfilled.

Holiday starts

Hi well what a morning was Saturday we didn’t sleep my ADD personality kicked in days ago so I was on the edge anyway, up at 3.30 on the road to meet the girls at 6.30 (the plane was due in at 7.50 didn’t want to be late).

We got held up on the highway by the tragedy (sad sad sad) anyway we finally arrived minus our granddaughter and her fiancée who went to the wrong airport; we couldn’t find any flowers so I had to walk about 2kl. to find some that’s a mean feat for my little legs these days, Grahame brought me a cup of tea to settle me down and I spilt it and am carrying a good burn on my arm.

I don’t think I will ever forget three little sets of eyes peering over the top of a mountain of luggage they were excited tired and overwhelmed they had been picked on at every stop the guys who brought them over couldn’t believe it but all was well they were here.

Home for a chat and ports unpacked, at lunch they had their first taste of lamb, cherries apricots and peaches and of course loved it a quick snooze then onto the first of many Christmas parties , well they are little but can they eat they had a great time but a little shy.

Sunday we took a drive to Surfers Paradise so cute all they do is go ahhh oooh so beautiful so beautiful ,they had a walk along the beach they said it was too cold to swim can you believe it they have been wearing flannelette PJS. On the way home we saw a kangaroo more exclamations even louder, they can’t get over the sounds of the birds and believe me our flower garden is very modest but they are wrapt in it.

Today we shopped until I nearly dropped (five hours) but we couldn’t get them to part with any of their money just tooooo expensive, they were again overwhelmed by the shops the noise and the goodies available, home and pop and I had a very long nana nap at this moment pop is cooking them a barbecue and tomorrow is another day.

They are just a total joy thank you for praying and could you lift up the guys that are home it’s a first for them all but we are sure they will do a great job.

The journey begins

Well the girls are packed and so over the limit anybody would think they were girls have to laugh they are pale faced and soooo nervous pray for them guys its bigger than Ben Hur.

They leave home at 1.30 , first leg is to KL leaving Phnom Penh at 4.30, then leave KL around midnight arriving in brisbane at 8.50

I have to stop now I have skyped the girls four times now just to ask have you got so and so and every time they say yessss mum me thinks they are getting tired of me mmmm wonder who is the most anxious. I just cant wait to share my world with these wonderful girls my natural daughters aand families are as excited as me lovely hey.

You must get sick of me saying but I am so blessed sometimes it just blows me away. I am remembering when I first went to Cambodia ten years ago I heard a song and it stayed with me for years i would love to be able to find it again it went like this.

I AM AMAZED AT YOUR LOVE I AMAZED AT YOUR MERCY THAT THE GOD OF FOREVER WOULD SHARE THIS TOGETHER WITH ME. XX

Just talked to the girls in Cambodia , two more sleeps until they leave for Australia, lots of excitement , lots of nervousness, lots of cheeky faces very cute. An intercessory prayer team is bringing them back on the plane so they will be well looked after.
